Introduction

The Airport Data Dictionary is NOT meant to provide a data model that solves all, or any, data modelling challenges in the aviation industry. It is meant to provide building blocks at the lowest level, types and elements, that can be used to create any data model necessary. It is expected that it will mostly be used to create entities of low to medium complexity for use in integration and services scenarios.

The really important thing is that even though different entities/models might be used, transformation between them is fairly/very simple as the same building blocks (types and elements) are used everywhere.
