The date the Flight (starts to) operate.

Comments

 Detailed specification can vary between systems/airports. For instance:

  1. Flight-oriented: FlightDepartureDate for scheduled (IATA) flights, and date of first EOBT for flights with only ATM data.
  2. FlightLeg-oriented: Date of first SOBT, or date of first EOBT (for flight legs without SOBT).
  3. Turnaround-oriented: Date of first SIBT / SOBT depending on arrival or departure.
