Equipment Measure
Measures are observations made by human agents or sensors in any part of Airport and used as the basis of making decisions on business - system performance.
In the baggage domain, the observations may be categorised as belonging to the following:

  1. Facility statistics
  2. Equipment Statistics
  3. Baggage handling process statistics

Additional measures may be obtained on state changes observations, alarms and events. These statistics include automatic counts performed by PLCs, for example to count the number of bags passing a particular point within a defined time period or the number of good reads performed by an automatic barcode scanner in a period.
They also include calculations that are derived in a baggage application such as a controlling system (eg SCADA), or a baggage reporting system.
The flight specific statistics are operational times used by the Airport CDM community to track operation performance of a flight turnaround.
